Liberty Living's Atlantic Point is named 'Hall of the Year' in the 2011 'Rate your Landlord' survey
It has been announced that student residence Atlantic Point, operated by Liberty Living, has been ranked as the number one ‘Hall of the Year’ in Liverpool in the inaugural ‘Rate Your Landlord’ survey carried out by Liverpool Students’ Union for 2011.
The survey was carried out by the Students’ Union attracting responses from thousands of students at the University of Liverpool, Liverpool Hope University and Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU).
Liberty Living is one of the UK’s largest providers of student housing, working with over 30 university partners in 17 cities, and has operated Atlantic Point for 5 years, since its acquisition from Moorfield as part of a substantial portfolio acquired in 2006. The company also recently won Best Private Halls Provider in the National Student Housing Survey 2010 – another accolade voted for by students themselves.

This was the first year of the ‘Rate your Landlord’ survey, as the Union wanted to get a genuine feel for the quality of student accommodation in Liverpool. Darren McCabe, Vice President of Liverpool Students Union adds:
“The aim of the ‘Rate Your Landlord’ survey is to ask students about their experience living within the student rental market. The idea came about when a number of students had raised some issues about their current living arrangements.
The survey contained a number of different questions asking students about their experience in the student rental market.
Hall of the Year - Atlantic Point: The Winners should be very proud of the work they have done for students.“
Atlantic Point offers 923 beds arranged in 4- and 6-bed flats and is one of the largest dedicated student residences in the city. It also includes rooms designed for students with disabilities. Like all Liberty Living accommodation, it aims to provide good quality core provision for university undergraduates and graduates, as well as accommodation for summer occupancy for students and for university courses and conferences.
