Check Out Liberty Living Student Accommodation Facebook Pages

As part of the Liberty Living strategy in Search Engine Optimisation, alongside a desire to communicate more effectively with our students and university partners, we have successfully launched the Liberty Living for students company Facebook page together with our first batch of residence pages. Liberty Point and Liberty Quays are two of Liberty Living’s residences in Southampton who house students from both The University of Southampton and Solent University.
The aim behind setting up these residence Facebook pages was to centralise communication with customers on a more personal level. In these fast moving times, students are more and more involved with social media using their personal smartphones and tablet devices as well as desktop computers as methods of social interaction with each other.
Liberty Quays’s Facebook page has shown student residents are eager to know of the promotions, newsletters and residence specific information that is available to them at a glance. It has quickly established itself as a tool for reference; students want to know whether it’s time for their rent instalment, room inspection, room viewing or even a service visit by a maintenance engineer.
Liberty Point’s Facebook page has also quickly established itself as an area for students to engage with local community venues, the Students’ Union and the private rented society (Orion’s Point JCR). They, in turn, have the opportunity to write on the Liberty Living wall; to pass on information, promotions and even to hold opinion polls with our students.
We strongly believe that utilising the new residence pages on Facebook will help students get to know each other before they arrive at their student accommodation, during their tenancy and even after, with many students able to give advice and feedback to students looking to book with us.
Facebook pages have also proved invaluable tools for keeping students informed of room availability for current and future academic years. Students can enquire directly with the Management Team, and then be guided to our Online Booking System where they can book and secure a room for the following year or even just a short-term summer let during the holidays.
Recent success launching Liberty Living’s Facebook pages across a small number of residences has made it an easy decision to roll out pages across the entire portfolio. We plan to do this over the coming weeks so keep your eyes peeled and 'like' us to keep up-to-date with current news and promotions.
