Direct Marketing Policy
This policy explains how Liberty Living, based in the United Kingdom, may use your personal information for direct marketing purposes.
What is 'Direct Marketing'?
Direct marketing is marketing which is directed at specific individuals. For example, a newspaper advertisement would not be direct marketing as it is targeting a particular group, not a particular individual.
What 'Direct Marketing' might Liberty Living send you?
The Direct Marketing which Liberty Living might send you includes information about our existing or new products and services, special offers, promotions and competitions (which we will refer to collectively as 'Promotions'). Liberty Living carries out its Promotions via national marketing campaigns which are sent by Liberty Living on behalf of its local residences.
Please be aware that the opt-in / opt-out contained on the Liberty Living website relates solely to direct marketing which you may receive as a result of registering or contacting us on the website.
Liberty Living residences will also carry out local residence marketing which may relate to specific Promotions from a residence which you have directly contacted (for example, when you attended in person or contacted them via telephone). To opt-out of any local residence marketing you must contact the residence directly or follow the opt-out instructions on the piece of marketing that you have received.

Do you share my information with anyone else?
What if you don't want to receive information about Promotions anymore?
If you decide you no longer want to receive any Promotions from Liberty Living you can withdraw your consent at any time by logging in to your Liberty Living account online or by using the 'unsubscribe', 'stop' or similar facility contained in our communications.
If you decide you no longer want to receive any Promotions from a local residence please contact your local residence directly in this regard. You can also email email@example.com stating:
- Your name;
- Your contact details (including the mobile phone number and/or email address details which are receiving direct marketing from a local residence);
- The name/location of the residence which sent you the direct marketing; and
- Attaching a copy of the direct marketing you received.
We will then contact the relevant local residence that you wish to opt-out from and request that your details are added to the appropriate suppression list(s).
Please be assured that we will do all we can to ensure that any request to opt-out is actioned within a period of 14 days from the date of receipt provided that you have given us all of the information referred to above which is required to enable the local residence to suppress your details appropriately.

We may update this policy from time to time and will post any changes on our website at www.libertyliving.co.uk. You should check back occasionally and read through it again. For your information, this policy was last updated 20 May 2018.
