Liverpool John Moores University cancellation policy 2017-18

If a student decides to withdraw or is cancelled before the release of the exam results and the start of the Clearing period on Thursday, 17 August 2017, they are entitled to a cancellation of their tenancy and a full refund of any initial payment.

All rejected students (i.e. those who hold Conditional offers but do not attain the conditions for entry to LJMU) are entitled to a cancellation of their tenancy and a full refund of any initial payment. Students from outside the EU who are unable to obtain a visa for the forthcoming academic year are also entitled to a cancellation of their tenancy and a full refund of any payment subject to confirmation by LJMU.

Students who are not rejected but who notify LJMU or a partner of their intention to cancel their booking before close of business on Friday, 25 August 2017 are entitled to a cancellation of their tenancy and a full refund of any initial payment. This includes students who have been accepted but have decided to defer their place at LJMU to a future academic year.

Students who are not rejected but notify LJMU or a partner of their intention to cancel their booking after close of business on Friday, 25 August 2017 will not be entitled to a cancellation of their tenancy and/or a refund of the initial payment. LJMU and partners will make all efforts to find a suitable replacement for any student who is not rejected but wishes to cancel after this date. If a replacement student is found, then the tenancy of the original student will be cancelled but the partner may retain the initial payment.

If no replacement student is found, you will remain liable for the full contractual rent, or until such date that a replacement student is found.
