University is a lot of work, and your efforts deserve to be celebrated!

Party in style at one of Leicester’s numerous festivals including the Caribbean Carnival or St Patrick’s Day.

The Leicester City Festival also runs each summer, filling the streets with entertainment, sports, culture, music, art and more.

It’s the perfect way to celebrate the end of summer exams with your friends before everyone disperses for the term.

2) Go bargain hunting at Leicester Market

If you’re a nature lover, or know someone who is, a visit to the Botanic Gardens (close to the University of Leicester) is well worth a visit.

Its beautiful grounds span 16 acres and play host to countless flowers, tropical succulents, herbs, woodland and a water garden.

If you’ve been cooped up in the library for hours on end, a stroll around the gardens will offer a much-needed breath of fresh air – literally.

4) Enjoy a cold one in one of Leicester’s oldest pubs

Steeped in history (and the site of possible hauntings!), The Globe offers an iconic and quirky setting for a reasonably-priced pint with your pals.
