Liberty Living acquires two residences in Edinburgh
Liberty Living today announced that it has acquired two student accommodation residences in Edinburgh from Ziggurat with a total of 532 beds. The assets being acquired from Ziggurat are comprised of high quality residences completed in 2015 and are substantially let under a long term nomination agreement with Edinburgh University, a leading academic institution in both the UK and globally. Liberty Living is particularly pleased to be making this purchase in Edinburgh which is a key UK university city with attractive demand dynamics, but where it has previously been unrepresented.
“Liberty Living continues to enhance its high quality student accommodation portfolio through selective acquisition of developed assets, both individually and as portfolios.” said Charles Marshall, CEO, Liberty Living. “The opportunity to acquire these well located assets with a long term occupational agreement with a leading UK university fits closely with Liberty Living’s portfolio development.”
The newly acquired assets will be rebranded as Liberty Living buildings and integrated into the wider operating business in the next few months.
