Liberty Living staff cycle from Vietnam to Cambodia to raise over £4,500 for charity
Last October, Gary Nathan and colleagues took on the challenge of cycling 527 kilometres, from Vietnam to Cambodia, to raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. They traversed through broken roads, mud and floods to a soundtrack of torrential rain and thunder, before finally reaching Angkor Wat in Cambodia.
Gary, along with Michelle Nathan and Nichola Thompson, used JustGiving to raise over £4,500 – a figure that the company will match, before the cheque is presented to The Royal Marsden Hospital on behalf of everyone at Liberty Living.
We are incredibly grateful to Rachel Muddimer and Tom Vickers, who completed a Sprint Triathlon and Tough Mudder challenge (respectively) and donated their funds to the total, as well as staff across the Residences and Central Service departments who also donated and organised fundraising student experience and staff events.
Over the last four years, Liberty Living has raised a grand total of almost £70,000 for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. We’re incredibly proud to support a leading medical centre to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. What a great team effort!
