Liberty Living’s student accommodation in Sheffield, Liberty Works has been shortlisted Best Individual Accommodation in the 2014 National Student Housing Survey (NSHS) awards.

Regional Operations Manager, Gary Nathan said: “Liberty Works is a converted steel works built in 1840. It was converted into student accommodation in 1994 and this award proves that you do not need a brand new building with with the most modern facilities to provide a happy home for your students; it’s good management and customer service that really makes the difference.”

The NSHS is an independent survey of over 19,000 students from 130 different nationalities studying at over 200 UK Universities and Colleges.

Shaun Dean, General Manager for Liberty Works in Sheffield commented: “I am only willing to accept this wonderful gesture on the understanding that it is on behalf of the whole team at Liberty Living Sheffield. I would like to thank my Assistant Manager Tom Vickers, who is responsible for all front of house matters and the student interface. Tom is ably supported by Gemma Nally – Administrator, Paul Turner in Maintenance and our experienced Housekeepers, Stephen Hall, Susan Veall and Susan Ward. Ray Hancock is our new Weekend Services Assistant who we warmly welcome into our team. I would also like to thank our Regional Facilities Manager – Andy Wathey for his support on our maintenance and refurbishment programmes.

Well done to all. You do an outstanding job every single day, and it makes me extremely proud to accept this recognition on behalf of you all. Now let’s win the damn thing next year.”
