Southampton Liberty Point voted best halls of residence in the UK
Southampton students voted Liberty Point the number one halls of residence in the country - and the best accommodation in Southampton - according to reviews gathered during the 2017/2018 academic year by Student Hut, a student review website.
With an overall rating of 4.6/5, Liberty Point ranks above some 1,078 other halls of residence across the UK. This is a testament to the hard work of the support staff and a credit to the residents - both contributing to making Liberty Point a fantastic place to live.
Students reviewed the accommodation on six criteria: location, their room, the social experience, value for money, social areas, and Internet/Wi-Fi speed, and its overall rating topped the UK league table. As one reviewer put it, ‘It's perfectly situated close to the city centre which means quick access to shops, cinema, pubs and clubs (which means no wasted Uber money on nights out!)’. Another reviewer applauded its proximity to campus, commenting, ‘you can still roll out of bed at 8.20am to get to those 9ams’!
Reviewers also remarked on the size of the rooms, en-suite bathrooms and storage space. Kind words were also reserved for the staff: ‘super friendly and always involved in creating something for the students’. Perks such as the large common areas, cinema room and on-site gym earned a high rating for social areas, and residents were similarly impressed by the Wi-Fi speed and overall social experience.
Liberty Point is home to 671 of Southampton’s students, who are spread across its en-suite rooms, studios and shared apartments. Find out more about Liberty Point and register your interest for the 2019/20 academic year here.
