Thanks to its central location in respect to the rest of the UK and exciting cultural richness, it has a great atmosphere which has led to lots of new developments in modern times. The local economy is booming – which leads to great prospects – and yet the city has lost none of its original charm which has been ever-present throughout the years.
Plus our student residences are located close to the city centre so you’ll never find yourself missing out when you stay at our student accommodation in Leicester.

There is also a plethora of places to enjoy fun and relatively inexpensive American-style food, such as burgers and BBQ meats. Vegetarians and vegans don’t need to feel left out though, as there’s been a rise in some amazing places to visit recently.

Things to do
In recent years Leicester has seen an innovative addition to its retail landscape, the Highcross Centre. Shops-wise there’s something for everyone, and more being added all the time. The Cinema de Lux is a large multi-screen place to watch movies, and it’s located in the middle of it. If cinema is your thing you can also head to Phoenix Cinema & Arts Centre, an independent hub which also serves food.

All thanks to Leicester’s diversity, there’s also a Caribbean Carnival – the UK’s biggest outside London – as well as the largest Diwali celebrations outside of India, which is an impressive feat!
For music lovers, you’ll be happy knowing big name bands, solo acts and huge DJs regularly venture to the city. The Curve and De Montfort Hall are venues to be seen in, but there’s also The Shed, which is one of the longest-running venues around the UK.

Liberty Living operates in accordance with the National Code of Standards for student accommodation. The Code of Standards is run by ANUK (The Accreditation Network UK), the NUS, and Unipol Student Homes, and is supported by universities across the UK.
Liberty Living joined the Code of Standards to give our students peace of mind. You can be assured that you will enjoy a high standard of living in accordance with the Code of Standards, and a prompt resolution to problems should they ever occur when you stay at any of Liberty Living’s residences.
Liberty Living follow a distinct set of standards for our student accommodation, called the ANUK/Unipol National Codes. The purpose of these Codes, (membership of which is voluntary), is to provide students with professional housing services.
The standards chosen for the Codes reflect a balance of common sense obligations and responsibilities between landlords and tenants. They also reflect established best practice in the sector and are based on what an average student and their parents would expect of a good quality housing supplier. The standards are supported by the voice of students themselves through the National Union of Students.
What does being a member of the codes mean?
- Both parties can enjoy the benefits of good standards of housing management and practice.
- Misunderstandings and disputes are reduced.
- If problems do occur they can be promptly resolved.
- The independent complaints procedure operated by the Codes can be used for complaint resolution.
