Canterbury Christ Church University accommodation
Almost 18,000 students study at Canterbury Christ Church University across several different campuses, including plenty of international students from across the globe – and our student accommodation in Medway is right on the doorstep of one of the campuses.
Canterbury Christ Church University (otherwise known as CCCU) has become an important part of the Kent landscape and local makeup. It prides itself on providing life changing education which can make a real difference – not just in the region, but around the world. In 1962, it was a humble teacher training college, and by 1995, it had progressed to being able to issue its own degrees. By 2005, it was a full-blown and fully fledged University, and the rest, as they say, is history.
There are almost 18,000 students studying at the University across several different campuses, including plenty of international students from all corners of the globe.
You can study a range of different things at CCCU, from your undergraduate degree, right through to postgraduate. You can even take professional courses as well, so there’s a lot of scope, no matter the direction you want to go in.
Plenty of graduates go on to do great things, and there are many famous grads, including a BAFTA award winner. You never know where your degree might take you!
Our Canterbury Christ Church University accommodation is based in Medway, right on the doorstep of one of the campuses. You’ll never struggle to make it to class on time, and you’ll be surrounded by like-minded students – you’ll get the full student experience.
There are several campuses at Canterbury Christ Church University. One of these is in Canterbury – as you might imagine – but the one closest to our CCCU accommodation is undoubtedly Medway.
The Medway campus itself is modern, having only opened in 2004, and it’s part of the Universities at Medway partnership, which includes three universities in the area. It’s a modern and welcoming place, complete with many excellent facilities to air your studies. The refurbished Drill Hall Library is fantastic for all the resources and quiet study areas you may need. Based at Chatham Maritime, the Medway campus is a vivacious mix of old and new architecture which blend perfectly to provide a brilliant student landscape. The Medway Building has even won awards for its unique design!
You’ll also be able to access a range of support services, including careers advice and anything else you can think of, plus there’s a great Student Union where you can relax and unwind, join a club, or just get stuck into student culture.
Sport fans aren’t neglected here, and if the facilities were good enough for Olympic training, we’re sure they’ll impress you, too. You can join a range of competitive teams or just give something new a try, the choice is yours.
At our Canterbury Christ Church University accommodation you’ll be in the middle of all the Medway madness and you’ll be able to take full advantage of the student experience.
No matter where you’re at in life, a degree can broaden your horizons and your career prospects. There are plenty of undergraduate courses available at CCCU, with an exciting range of disciplines and subjects which you can study. Options range from science to dance, and graphic design to law – it’s incredibly diverse.
You can build practical and vocational skills in addition to gaining a solid academic foundation. The teaching staff are excellent and will ensure a great quality education throughout your time in Kent, and there are connections with industry which you’ll have access to as a student to make the most of your time there. As a result, you’ll hopefully join countless graduates who are working in their dream careers.
Our CCCU accommodation is great for undergraduates as it gives you the freedom and independence you need to forge your own path and succeed.
Postgraduate study sets you apart from other job candidates and it’s also a great way to learn more for your personal development, too. There are a range of subjects which you can specialise in – you’ll be an expert in your field in no time!
Whether you choose a taught degree, or a research degree among a small but friendly community of professionals, you’ll be in great hands. You can even gain work experience, or simply study a short diploma. The choice is yours!
The Medway Campus is also home to the fantastic Institute of Medical Sciences. The Institute represents a centre of excellence for postgrads looking to specialise in areas of clinical practice.
Our CCCU accommodation is ideal for those postgraduate students who are studying at Medway; however, most of the postgraduate degrees aren’t taught there and are instead taught at the Canterbury Campus. Regardless, it’s still a great investment to boost your future potential.
