    Accreditations

Liberty Living operates in accordance with the National Code of Standards for student accommodation. The Code of Standards is run by ANUK (The Accreditation Network UK), the NUS, and Unipol Student Homes, and is supported by universities across the UK.

Liberty Living joined the Code of Standards to give our students peace of mind. You can be assured that you will enjoy a high standard of living in accordance with the Code of Standards, and a prompt resolution to problems should they ever occur when you stay at any of Liberty Living’s residences.

All of Liberty Living’s residences have been accredited by ANUK and run in accordance with the National Code of Standards.

    National Code of Standards logo

Liberty Living follow a distinct set of standards for our student accommodation, called the ANUK/Unipol National Codes. The purpose of these Codes, (membership of which is voluntary), is to provide students with professional housing services.

The standards chosen for the Codes reflect a balance of common sense obligations and responsibilities between landlords and tenants. They also reflect established best practice in the sector and are based on what an average student and their parents would expect of a good quality housing supplier. The standards are supported by the voice of students themselves through the National Union of Students.

What does being a member of the codes mean?

    • Both parties can enjoy the benefits of good standards of housing management and practice.
    • Misunderstandings and disputes are reduced.
    • If problems do occur they can be promptly resolved.
    • The independent complaints procedure operated by the Codes can be used for complaint resolution.

    Documents to provide

Once you've made a booking, you will need to provide us with the following documentation within 7 days (this will avoid delays on your moving in day):

    1. Signed copy of UK Guarantor Form

A UK Guarantor is required for all UK students and any non-UK students wishing to pay their rent via instalments.

A Guarantor is a third party who will be financially responsible for your rent payment in the event you can't pay. The Guarantor must be a permanent UK resident and be able to provide us with proof of address in the form of a council tax or utility bill (dated within the last 3 months). An ideal person for this responsibility is your mum, dad or your legal guardian growing up - although of course, you'll need their permission first.

    2. Passport-sized photograph of yourself

This can be a selfie, as long as we can clearly identify you.

    3. Student Loan Schedule

If you intend on using your student loan to pay your rent, we'll need to see evidence of your Student Loan Schedule from the Student Loan Company. Once we receive this, we can change your rent payment dates to coincide with the dates you receive your loan payment.

  2. Navigation_pink_Date picker.svg Arrival information

    When can you arrive?

You can move in any time after Saturday 8th September 2018 from 10am. However, we have dedicated staff to help you move in on the following dates: Friday 14th, Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th September 2018.

    Please book an arrival appointment

You will need to contact us to book an appointment for the date and time that you will arrive, so that we can best support you with moving in. This appointment will also allow you to bring your car on-site for 15 minutes to unload your stuff.

To book an arrival appointment, please call the residence team on 01634 853 285 or email us.

  3. Navigation_pink_Map filters Pound.svg Paying your rent

What you need to know about paying your rent

Your accommodation fees (rent) will be charged automatically to the same credit/debit card you used on the website to pay your booking fee/deposit.

If you need to change this credit/debit card, please contact the residence asap and give them your new card details.

If you're relying on your Student Loan to pay for your rent, please keep in mind this loan is typically received a week or two after your rent is due. To avoid any nasty surprises, make sure you email us a copy of your Student Loan Schedule so we can change when your rent payment is due.

    Parking details

We do not have parking at our residence but if you have booked an arrival appointment, you will be allowed to park for a maximum of 15 minutes to give everyone a chance to unload their stuff. You’ll then need to park in one of the local pay and display car parks.

On the weekend of 15th & 16th September 2018 you may park at the University car park and there will be a shuttle bus operating to bring you back to Liberty Quays or it is only a 10-minute walk back to the residence.
